ProfessorMy main research topic is “plant genetic resources,” including landraces and their wild relatives. I have conducted field surveys and characterization of the plant genetic resources for future conservation and utilization. For the field survey, various countries have been focused on, such as India, Nepal, and Malaysia.
In recent years, I have been working in the field of education and developing model lessons focusing on plant genetic resources with foreign collaborators. As the plant genetic resources, I am focusing on the crops which are familiar in Chiba and foreign countries.

To develop model lessons focusing on plant genetic resources, which are applicable not only to schools in Japan but also in foreign countries.

ProfessorPrograms are instructions for computers to perform computations. They are written by programmers, but discrepancies between a programmer’s intention and the actual behavior of the program—commonly known as bugs—often occur. My research focuses on exploring programming languages that can accurately express human intent and developing methods to ensure that programs behave as intended.

Assistant ProfessorI find joy in creating molecules and have broad interests across various research fields. My current research focuses on organic–inorganic hybrid materials that combine the properties of both classes of substances, metal-free materials with metallic luster, and the synthesis of organic compounds and metal complexes with unique structures and physical properties. I also aim to implement the materials I develop in real-world applications.

Associate ProfessorI aim to achieve the measurement of peripheral circulation hemodynamics using a simple color camera. Peripheral circulation hemodynamics are significantly related to both the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems, which means that this measurement also contributes to evaluating the balance of the autonomic nervous system. By visualizing the results obtained with the developed camera and providing feedback to the subjects, I strive to implement this technology in healthcare settings.
