Professor / DirectorDesign is the science and practice that enriches human life. I will ‘learn’ about people’s lives and conduct surveys, research, propose ideas, and engage in practical activities to improve their lives. This is what we call ’lifestyle design based on the reconfirmation and re-recognition of local resources.’ Furthermore, as an extension of this concept, I am promoting the advancement of ‘dri activities centered around the Sumida Satellite Campus.’
Recent Topics of Interest:
Life design for coexistence with diverse environments and cultures, Co-creation design
Motto in Research or in Life:
Go into the fields, learn about life, and create a life together.
Hobby / Holiday:
Experiencing diverse cultures, Listening to jazz, Watching movies (not so often these days), Getting some sleep, Reading research papers, Making a plan

Assistant ProfessorFormulation research is the field dedicated to making medicines easy to take and effective in the body. I explore technologies and methods to optimize drug stability and absorption while maximizing the effects of active ingredients. My aim is to establish an effective platform for developing pharmaceutical formulations through advancements in drug delivery technology and formulation quality evaluation.
Recent Topics of Interest:
Understanding the phenomenon of drug dissolution and the formation mechanism of nanoparticle formulations.
Motto in Research or in Life:
Continuity is the father of success

ProfessorRadiopharmaceuticals are drugs that contain radionuclides. Radionuclides that emit radiation with high tissue penetration are suited for diagnostic purposes, while those releasing cytotoxic radiation can serve therapeutic purposes. My goal is to advance the development of cutting-edge radiopharmaceuticals by engineering technologies that deliver these radionuclides precisely to the target tissues.
Recent Topics of Interests:
・Innovating radiopharmaceuticals that seamlessly combine diagnosis and treatment
・Developing therapeutic agents based on radioactive metal complexes
・Enhancing the efficient detection of alpha radiation
Motto in Research or in Life: Just give it a try.
Hobby / Holiday: Bowling

Associate ProfessorI study fungi that parasitize plants and cause disease. The mechanisms by which these fungi induce disease in plants are still not well understood. By elucidating these processes and gaining deeper insight into the biology of the fungi, I aim to develop disease control strategies that do not rely solely on pesticides—or that enable more effective and targeted use of them. Through research on plant diseases, I also hope to better understand the complex interactions among microorganisms, plants, and the environment.
Recent Topics of Interest:
Phytobiome, Biological interactions, Ecological control, Biological control
Motto in Research or in Life:
Waste is sometimes a necessary part of the process
Hobby / Holiday:
Caring for killifish, Exploring strong sulfur springs, and Appreciating good Japanese SAKE
