ProfessorI am conducting research on new modalities, such as drug delivery systems (DDS), that serve as delivery carriers for nucleic acid therapeutics like mRNA and immune checkpoint inhibitors, with the goal of efficiently delivering them to tumors and maximizing their therapeutic effects. I also investigate the mechanisms of adverse events associated with these new modalities and explore combination therapies.
Recent Topics of Interests:
When a drug is administered, it normally reaches diseased sites to exert its therapeutic effects. However, in reality, there are many regions in the body where drugs fail to reach. These pharmacologically unexplored areas still receive nutrients and sustain living cells. I aim to uncover the body’s remarkable internal delivery systems and develop DDS technologies capable of delivering drugs to any target site.
